IMPACT
A study found that 10 days of guided meditation can reduce stress by 14% and reduce irritability by 27%. Three weeks of use was shown to increase compassion by 23% and reduce aggression by 57%. In practice, this app could make a real difference in users' mental health.
WHAT I LEARNED
Because the goal of the app was to offer immediate stress relief, I had to hone in my focus and simplify the interface. This meant stripping back any unnecessary functions and limiting choices. I also learned throughout the design process that consistency with call to action elements is key.
